Wabash County Commissioners Conduct On-line Tax Sale Certificate Sale
The Wabash County Commissioners are conducting an on-line sale of commissioner-owned tax sale certificates beginning at 10:00 am on April 13 until 10:00 am on April 21, 2015.
The commissioners' certificate sale is a process where the county commissioners sell the tax sale certificate of a property where the lien did not sell at a previously conducted county tax sale. Indiana law authorizes the county commissioners to sell the tax sale certificate for those unsold properties at an amount that is less than the unpaid delinquent taxes, penalties, and cost.
The buyer of a lien at the Commissioners' Certificate Sale will pay the minimum bid amount set by the county commissioners, and are issued a tax sale certificate with the same requirements as property bought at the county tax sale.
The minimum bid set by the Wabash County Commissioners for this certificate sale is $200.00.
Wabash County has contracted with Indianapolis-based SRI Incorporated to conduct the internet sale.
